Pastel Nails

I recently went to Diamond Nails in Ponsonby, Auckland to get my nails done. I decided to go for a pastel OPI colour to get into the summer spirit + a little bit of glitter to add to the Christmas cheer 🙂

TIP: If you want to look like you have more of a tan, pick a pastel colour when you go to get your nails done!

Pink Hair – The Creation

A few weeks ago I decided it was time to try something a bit different with my hair! I headed down to Hamilton Brooks in Newmarket to see my hairdresser Paul and we decided to experiment!

Firstly, I had my roots re-bleached and toned to ensure my base colour was white. Next, to create the pink Paul put through a semi-perminant colour. By doing this it meant that over time the colour would fade from a vibrant pink to a soft pastel tone.

I absolutely love this colour and would highly recommend seeing Paul at Hamilton Brooks. He is extremely talented and has many years experience. You can also check out their website to see the price list and opening hours.

I’m very excited to see what we will come up with next, so stay tuned! 🙂

What do you think of my pink hair?

This photo is after about half a dozen washes… It has faded out into a really pretty colour. Also because my roots and undercut is new, healthy hair it has held the pink which has created a gradient effect.

Custom Pink and Gold iPhone 4

Recently I dropped and smashed my iPhone screen. As you can image it was a very sad moment! I spent a lot of time deciding what I would do in regards to fixing it, then my boyfriend Ben mentioned getting new custom coloured glass put on it. I had seen iPhones like it before and thought it looked awesome and decided that was the way to go. Turned out one of Ben’s mates did custom glass replacement!

I got pink glass and also had the motherboard put into a gold inner to make the edges of the phone gold too. I really love it, what do you think?

If you are interested in getting custom coloured glass on your iPhone please get in touch with me via my Facebook Page and I can put you in touch with the right people! 🙂

Glitter and Gem Nail Design

Recently, I got a new nail design done down at Diamond Nails on Lambton Quay. All the nail polish used is OPI. The silver glitter polish is called “Pirouette Jelly Sandwich” from the OPI New York Ballet Collection. The lavender is also an OPI colour. I then had gems stuck to the top section of my middle finger on both hands.

What do you think of it?

Rainbow Cake

It was my Birthday on Saturday and I asked my Mum if she could make a rainbow cake for me. She reluctantly accepted before she realized it would take 5 hours to make!

After 19 egg whites, 5 cups of sugar, 1kg of butter and 60 utensils later the cake was a success! I have to say a HUGE thank you to my wonderful Mum for working so hard and making this challenging cake look and taste amazing!

Making this rainbow cake is definitely not for the faint hearted and you do need to be an experienced baker to do it justice. If you do want the recipe + some tips about making it, please leave me a comment below and can get all the info to you.
